    The National Disability Insurance Scheme is one of Australia’s most prominent social policies. It aims to provide the necessary means for people with disabilities, enhancing their quality of life.     I. NDIS Self-Management

    The main function of this intermediary is to pay invoices on behalf of you and provide accountability through NDIS reports. Participants feel vastly relieved with this administrative work off of their shoulders. 

    You (the participant) are still responsible for decision-making; only some admin work will be delegated to an NDIS provider in Cranbourne. You can recruit support workers, negotiate wages with them, and choose other service supports. Therefore, you are holding a considerable amount of control over your NDIS plan and services.

     III. NDIA (Agency) Management

    The last kind is NDIA management, also termed agency management. When you opt for this arrangement, you are essentially seeking NDIS to make direct payments to service providers based on your plan. NDIA will also manage your bookkeeping and spending records. 

    With this management style, participants often feel a lack of control over their affairs. However, this may be the best way to go about it in some cases. 

    One thing to note here is that you cannot use unregistered providers under NDIA management. There is still a large pool of NDIS-registered providers from which you can choose one. But if you want to cut corners using an unregistered provider, it is impossible here.

    Choosing the right type of plan management is crucial in a participant’s NDIS journey. The best management type is always the one that aligns perfectly with your circumstances.
