Candace Cameron Bure's 24-year-old daughter supported her mother when she declared the Great American Family network, where she's chief creative officer, "will keep conventional marriage at the core"

The internet phenomenon sounded off on the Full House alum's recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, in which she stated that the Great American Family network—where Candace is a chief creative officer—"will retain traditional marriage at the core."

In short, there are no present plans to feature same-sex couples in their Christmas movies.

JoJo, who came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in2021, termed Candace's comment "rude and insulting to an entire community of individuals" in a Nov. 15 Instagram post.

She said, "Honestly, I can't believe after all that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only develop a movie with aim of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also brag about it in the press."

Candace's Full House co-star Jodie Sweetin also chimed in on the subject, saying in the comments of JoJo's post, "You know I adore you."

According to Candace, this tweet spurred her to seek out to the Nickelodeon star,, who confessed her comments were from an event several years earlier when she was refused a photo opportunity with Candace.

The "Boomerang" singer isn't the first star to come out against Candace's statements, as Hilarie Burton didn't mince words in branding the actress a "bigot."
