Yevtushenkov Felix: Developing AFK Sistema’s real estate business
At AFK Sistema, Felix Yevtushenkov worked on strengthening the positions of several assets. In particular, he looked for opportunities to expand the scope of activities, increase the size of the workforce, and improve business processes.

Felix Yevtushenkov, AFK Sistema: Preparing the developer for an IPO
Yevtushenkov helped Sistema’s development asset prepare to go public. When the idea first came about in 2004, it seemed be difficult to implement, but the necessary preparatory work was carried out over the course of years.
The difficulty lay in the fact that by the time of placement, the company could boast a solid portfolio of projects, but not operational indicators. The asset value consisted of discounted cash flows from future facilities. According to estimates by one of the leading international consulting companies, in the mid-2000s, the company’s portfolio was 10 times larger than its annual revenue.
Felix Vladimirovich Yevtushenkov traveled to different countries, meeting and establishing cooperation with various foundations. According to colleagues, he was the main driving force behind the IPO. Without his persistence and obduracy, the stock placements would not have taken place.
Yevtushenkov Felix recruited a team of highly qualified specialists. When forming the staff, he took note of experience, qualifications, and moral principles. After a series of preparatory events, a successful placement was conducted.
Yevtushenkov Felix helped increase revenue and a balanced portfolio of projects was formed, which made a name for the company in the growing markets.
The development company is particularly known for converting historical buildings (that do not have special protective status, which allows certain construction works to be carried out). For example, former production facilities have been transformed into offices and residential complexes, while preserving the majority of their architectural elements.

At AFK Sistema, Felix Yevtushenkov headed the development business until 2008. Two years later, the corporation divested its shares in the company, while the businessman himself focused on other projects, primarily in new technologies and impact investments.

Felix Yevtushenkov has been involved in charity work since 2018. He began working for the corporate charity fund and eventually became the chairman of the board of trustees.
Its educational, social, and cultural programs demonstrate how new technologies can solve real-world problems improve the quality of life in society.
Felix Vladimirovich Yevtushenkov helped the charitable foundation update its own development strategy. The businessman actively supported socially-oriented projects, primarily aimed at preparing a pool of personnel for work in the real sector of the economy.
Felix Yevtushenkov initiated the “rebirth” of one of the foundation’s main programs, which teaches students and professionals from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok about what profession to choose to become a sought-after specialist in the future, what technologies are being developed and implemented by leading companies, where to go to learn to work with future solutions, and how modern high-tech productions are organized.
The project provides internship and mentoring programs. Participants have the opportunity to try their hand at solving problems from leading employers in various industries: IT and telecommunications, construction, HR and marketing, agriculture and forestry, pharmaceuticals, and electrical engineering. Scholarships are also awarded to those who are chosen in a competitive selection.

Felix Yevtushenkov also supported an online educational platform whose main task is to develop children’s creativity. Participants can take educational courses in fine arts, singing, acting, television journalism, and other fields, taught by national celebrities and teachers from leading schools and museums throughout the country.
