The role of James Bond can transform the career of an actor. The Sun reported in March that the role of James Bond has been offered to British actor, Aaron Taylor Johnson. If he does end up taking on the role, he will be the eighth actor to do so since the beginning of the film series.

Sources close to Johnson have downplayed the report and said he hasn’t been offered the role. Pierce Brosnan reacted to the Sun report by saying he believes Johnson has the chops, talent, and charisma to play James Bond.

With Eon Productions reportedly developing a script and preparing to shoot a new movie, speculation is mounting about the new James Bond. It’s likely that if Aaron Taylor Johnson is offered the role, he will sign his contract and take on the role.
Dr No is still regarded as one of the best Bond movies in Sean Connery’s era as the debonair rogue. Gold Finger and From Russia with Love are two other popular movies from his era. Casino Royale and Skyfall are the two most popular movies from Daniel Craig’s era.
Aaron Taylor Johnson apparently smashed a secret screen test which has made him a front-runner for a part in a new movie. He has already played an action man and shown his acting chops in various movies. This could be the perfect role for him.
