In September 2023, YouTube announced at the Made On YouTube event several new initiatives to further help their creators on the platform, a ton of new tools and features for the creative aspects of YouTube content promotion and creation with a lot of potential to explore.
As an artist, these are some developments that you want to look out for because these are game-changing updates and you can take your production processes to the next level.
Dream Screen: Take Your Dreams And Throw Them To The Screens
Since the launch of YouTube Shorts in 2020, short-form videos on the platform have exploded with viewership. Today, it quickly gets over 70 billion views daily, and this figure only considers signed-in users that go over 2 billion. People love YouTube Shorts! With that, YouTube is looking to step up its game and announced a new tool to make Shorts easier to create and bring it to life.
By the end of the year, YouTube will begin testing out Dream Screen. An experimental AI technology-based feature allows users to transform image backgrounds or generate videos into Shorts, all with a few clicks as a prompt.
Think of placing yourself in outer space, at the top of the Himalayan mountains, in a cartoon, or anywhere your mind can take you; your Shorts can bring a dream to the screen. This feature will be available to select creators before it is accessible to the larger public next year.
YouTube Create: Simplifying Video Editing For Everyone
There are tons of video editing software out there, including Vidmate download, Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, and Capcut. They all have their technical advantages over one another, but one thing for sure is that they all have a learning curve. Especially for first-time creators, it can be daunting even to get started as they’re thinking of the time they would need to put aside to learn it outside their busy schedules. Whether they opt for Vidmate download or any other software, taking the time to explore and familiarize themselves with the features can greatly enhance their video editing skills.
With that, YouTube has finally announced its own video editing tool, YouTube Create. It is free in beta version and only on Android devices in several markets. It is designed to make video production much simpler and easier, be it for Shorts or long-form videos. To make this happen, YouTube has been actively receiving feedback and insights from real creators on the platform to make YouTube Create the best way possible.
Other Developments Announced At The Event: More AI Tools
While integrating AI into the platform for video production processes was already a massive development for YouTube, they have also announced a few other AI-integrated initiatives beyond the ability to make videos.
For one, they want to launch AI-powered insights on YouTube Studio next year. This is where AI would help creators in the idea generation processes. To be specific, the feature would draft outlines that could help creators brainstorm their next idea. It would also be personalized for every channel based on what their audiences are already watching on the platform.
Besides that, they would also integrate an assistive search in Creator Music. Almost any video editor would agree that choosing the right music for your video takes time, despite how easy it sounds. With this technology, all that needs to be done is to type a description of the video, and the AI would suggest the perfect song at the right price.
