How do you know how many cells in a range have values?
Use the COUNT function to count the number of cells in a particular range. The COUNT function can be used in a formula to calculate the number of digits in a field. A2, A3, and A6 are the only cells in the range that contain numbers, so the output is set to 3.
A cell’s value can be used to figure out how many rows there are.On the Formulas tab, choose one of the following functions from the Statistical drop-down menu:
When the COUNTA function is used, it doesn’t count empty cells

Is the count function in Excel flexible enough to handle many different situations?
COUNT, COUNTA, COUNTBLANK, COUNTIF, and COUNTIFS are all different ways to use the COUNT function. If we only want to count numbers that meet certain conditions, we can use the COUNTIF or COUNTIFS function. You should use COUNTIF if you’re going to estimate based on certain conditions.
There is a big difference between COUNTIF and COUNTIFS. COUNTIF is used to count cells in a single range, while COUNTIFS can count cells in many fields.
You can use the statistical function COUNTIF to determine how many times a specific city shows up on a list of customers. COUNTIF is the most basic form of COUNTIF. Is there something, in particular, you want to look for?
